The Fairy Penguin (also known as the Little Blue Penguin) is the smallest species of penguin, commonly about 43 cm (16in) tall, and only 2lbs. Fairy penguins spend their days out at sea hunting for food in the shallow waters close to the shore. At dusk they return to their rock crevice colonies.
